LOCAL RANKINGS AND MAP GROWTH

See your neighborhood. Find your next opportunity.

A single ranking cannot tell you how visible a business is across its service area. Performance Local checks your chosen searches at points around the business, then puts the results on a geographic map. Compare dated scans, spot weaker areas and decide when a wider view makes sense for your location.

WHAT THIS MEANS FOR YOU

Understand where customers can find you, and where to focus your next work.

Rankings with a real sense of place

Explore a draggable map with individual ranking points. See how a search performs near the business and farther away, with dates and keyword context alongside the results.

A clearer before and after

Compare recorded scans to understand changes in visibility. A larger grid covers a different area, so meaningful progress depends on comparing compatible results rather than treating every new scan as an improvement.

Expansion within your limits

Start with an area that fits the business, then review growth opportunities as results develop. Map settings and scan allowances keep expansion controlled, while weaker areas help guide relevant local content.

HOW IT COMES TOGETHER

A routine you can follow.

01

Choose the searches that matter

Set the keywords, map center and starting grid for each business.

02

Measure local visibility

Run or schedule scans and explore the ranking at each measured point.

03

Review the next move

Compare compatible scans and use your growth settings to control a wider coverage area.

BEFORE YOU GET STARTED

Good to know.

How do scan credits work?

One credit covers one map point for one keyword. A 7 by 7 scan uses 49 credits, and a 9 by 9 scan uses 81. The monthly 980-credit allowance per location is equivalent to twenty 7 by 7 scans, shared across your chosen keywords.

Does expanding the map improve my rankings?

Expanding a map changes the area being measured; it does not itself change Google rankings. The wider view helps you understand visibility and choose where to focus your work.

Can I control expansion?

Yes. Your map-growth settings determine how decisions are handled and the limits that apply. Larger scans use more credits, so review coverage and available allowance together.

Are the before-and-after results on this website real?

The results gallery uses recorded historical ranking comparisons with business names hidden. Each case keeps its own dates and results. Outcomes differ by business, search and location.
